I’ll present the themes of seven random series whose titles begin with the letter “C.” One series from each decade from the 1950’s through the 2010s will be explored.

May 2017:
Season 2, Episode 10: The Fox Network 30th Anniversary Celebration
A look back at April of 1987 and the launch of the new Fox Television Network, American TV’s first successful fourth nationwide network. We’ll look at Fox-TV’s first week of programming (and it’s theme music).

May 2017:
Season 2, Episode 11: D’s, Dem’s and Doe’s
I’ll present the themes of seven random series whose titles begin with the letter “D.” One series from each decade from the 1950’s through the 2010s will be explored.

May 2017:
Season 2, Episode 12: From Hit to Theme
I’ll explore tunes that began as hit records on the radio and were then utilized as theme music for series television later on, including Bill Haley & The Comets’ “Rock Around the Clock” (HAPPY DAYS), Andrew Gold’s “Thank You For Being a Friend” (THE GOLDEN GIRLS), Frank Sinatra’s “Love and Marriage” (MARRIED…WITH CHILDREN), and the various hits by The Who that have been utilized in the CSI series franchise.

June 2017:
Season 2, Episode 13: E’s-E Does It
I’ll present the themes of seven random series whose titles begin with the letter “E.” One series from each decade from the 1950’s through the 2010s will be explored.

June 2017:
Season 2, Episode 14: Who Loves Ya, Baby? Detectives of the 1970s (Part 2)
In a continuation of Season 1 Episode 5, I’ll explore the themes and histories of a few more popular and not-so-popular TV detective series of the 1970s, including BRONK, SERPICO, LONGSTREET, SWITCH!, DAVID CASSIDY – MAN UNDERCOVER, THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO, and POLICE WOMAN.

July 2017:
Season 2, Episode 15: Strictly “American”
In celebration of Independence Day, the themes to several regular network or cable series with the word “American” in its title are reviewed, from AMERICAN FORUM OF THE AIR in 1949, to AMERICAN BANDSTAND in 1957, to LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE in 1969, to AMERICAN IDOL in 2002.

July 2017:
Season 2, Episode 16: F-ervescent
I’ll present the themes of seven random series whose titles begin with the letter “F.” One series from each decade from the 1950’s through the 2010s will be explored.

August 2017:
Season 2, Episode 17: The Great British Spy Invasion
A look at the spy dramas and adventure series that invaded American TV screens in the 1960s and early 1970s, such as THE AVENGERS, DANGER MAN/SECRET AGENT/THE PRISONER, THE PERSUADERS, THE SAINT, and THE CHAMPIONS.

August 2017:
Season 2, Episode 18: G-Willikers!
I’ll present the themes of seven random series whose titles begin with the letter “G.” One series from each decade from the 1950’s through the 2010s will be explored.

September 2017:
Season 2, Episode 19: Games People Play (Part 2)
A continuation of Season 2 Episode 3 wherein I present series synopses and themes of more of the most popular game shows to air on American daytime and prime time television. This episode includes looks at six long-running quizzers and their theme music: THE MATCH GAME, THE JOKER’S WILD, THE $10,000 PYRAMID (and its many different permutations), WHAT’S MY LINE?, I’VE GOT A SECRET and TO TELL THE TRUTH.

September 2017:
Season 2, Episode 20: Cast Recordings
This episode will include TV series with theme music performed by the original cast of each respective show. Many thanks to the Godfather of Podcasting himself, Ferg of The Atari 2600 Game by Game Podcast, who suggested this topic as an episode of TUBE TUNES.

Season 3, Episode 1: Go West, Old Man – Adult Westerns of the 1960s (Part 1)
I’ll present the themes of ten popular adult westerns of the 1960s, including THE VIRGINIAN, BRANDED, LAREDO and THE WILD, WILD WEST.
